Ø Certified translator/interpreter in French (Chartered by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1996)

Ø Certified translator/interpreter in English (Chartered by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 1995)

Ø Postgraduate degree in Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpretation (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 1994)

Ø Long-Cycle University Degree (5 years) in English Philology (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 1989)

Ø Official Degree in English (5 Years) (Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, Madrid 1985)

Besides his private professional practice, he currently works as an External Translator for the European Commission and the European Parliament under the terms laid down in a Framework Contract entered with both European Institutions expiring on December, 2000.

The "Intérpretes Jurados " (Certified Translators) are the only qualified officials in whom the authority of the State is vested to act independently in an official capacity as translators and interpreters when the resulting translations are to take legal effects. Thus, any translation certified by an "Intérprete Jurado " is considered an authentic document under Spanish Civil Law and attests the truth of its content to the effect that it is true and faithful to the original unless otherwise rebutted through the introduction of contradictory evidence before the "Oficina de Interpretación de Lenguas ", a department of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
